Schneider honored with Union Pacific Sustainability Partner Award
GREEN BAY, Wis. (December 3, 2025) – Schneider (NYSE: SNDR), a premier provider of transportation and logistics services, has been recognized by Union Pacific Railroad with its 2025 Sustainability Partner Award, underscoring Schneider’s commitment to operating responsibly and advancing sustainable freight solutions.
The annual award celebrates Union Pacific customers and suppliers that demonstrate leadership and measurable progress toward ambitious sustainability goals. Schneider earned this distinction for its innovative approach to reducing emissions and fostering collaboration across the supply chain.
“At Schneider, responsibility is at the center of everything we do,” said Scheider Senior Vice President of Intermodal Operations Michael Baumgardt. “We are working with Union Pacific to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable transportation solutions. Together, we’re making a real difference for our customers and the communities we serve.”
Schneider’s initiatives to reduce carbon emissions include operating one of the largest battery electric vehicle fleets in North America, achieving more than six million zero-emission miles and reducing over 20 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. The company also leverages intermodal transportation to help customers cut greenhouse gas emissions by over 60% compared to over-the-road shipping.
Union Pacific honored Schneider and other winners at a ceremony in Omaha, Nebraska in November.
